CHRISTIAN EISELE (German/American, 1854-1919). Emigrating to the United States in 1869, Eisele painted "romantic realist landscape and cityscape views over a wide geographical area. Settling first in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, the artist traveled extensively and died in Oregon City, Oregon. Oil on canvas Alaskan landscape with flowing glaciers and a glacier calving, mountains in the back ground. 40 in. by 60 in., signed C. Eisele 1889 l.r.
