ON-LINE BIDDING THROUGH
LIVE AUCTIONEERS & EBAY LIVE AUCTIONS

For those who are unable to attend our auctions in person, there are three ways to still bid on our auction items without actually being present at the auction. In addition to the option of submitting Absentee and/or Telephone Bids to us, buyers may also bid, in real time from around the world, through Live Auctioneers & eBay Live Auctions. This “On-Line Bidding” will be made available for all of our regular Three-Session Auctions as well as for selected “Special Session Auctions” that are held periodically (it will not be made available for our un-cataloged “Day Auctions”). You will be able to watch the bidding, on-line, during our auctions; and you can place bids using a well established eBay “user ID” and password. Although this is a service that we do not have direct control over and that relies heavily on technology, be assured that we will do everything we can to make your on-line bidding experience consistent with the high level of service you’ve come to expect from us.

Please note that Live Auctioneers & eBay Live Auctions charge a convenience fee equal to five percent of the final bid price for auction purchases made on-line. This fee results in a 19% Buyer’s Premium for successful bids made through Live Auctioneers & eBay Live Auctions (instead of our normal 14% Buyer’s Premium).

A reminder: In addition to on-line bidding, we will continue to offer Absentee and Telephone Bidding if you are unable to attend our auctions in person. While Absentee Bids & Telephone Bids are accepted up until the time the auction begins, we encourage you to submit them as early as possible so that we have ample time for processing. These bids can be submitted by calling us at 503.238.0202 or toll-free at 1.888.238.0202. For your convenience, our Absentee/Telephone Bid Form is available here as a PDF file. Your completed bid form can also be faxed to us at 503.236.8211.

To bid live during the auction, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. Certain types of items regularly offered at O’Gallerie will not be made available for on-line bidding. Here are some examples:

• Firearms, Certain Firearms Accessories & Weapons
• Stuffed Birds, Animal Pelts & Skins of Endangered Species
• Products from Bear, Mountain Lion, Turtle, Marine Mammals
• Ivory
• Certain Artifacts, Wine/Alcohol

If you have questions as to whether or not specific lots will be offered for on-line bidding, feel free to contact us.  Generally, our auctions will be made available for on-line bidding about ten days prior to the auction. To participate in on-line bidding, start out by:

1. Signing Up to Bid: You can do that by clicking the large “Live Auctioneers/eBay Live Auctions” that appears below
2. Click on one of our upcoming auctions
3. Click on “sign up to bid”. If you don’t already have an eBay “User ID” and “Password”, click on “Register” to get them
