Description:

A SUQUAMISH INDIAN HUCKLEBERRY BASKET of split cedar roots having rawhide loops around lower rim. 12" long, 8.50" wide, 9" tall. From central Puget Sound, the Suquamish are known as "the People of Chief Seattle". c.1880's.

    Condition:
  • 015: The basket is in good overall condition with wear commiserate with age. Many of the decorative strands are broken and some of the leather is missing.
