ATTRIBUTED TO PIETER VAN DER LEEUW (Netherlands, 1647-1679) oil on wood panel, courting couple with ruins and farm animals. Label attached verso attributing the painting to Pieter Van Der Leeuw and from the collection of R. Tavener, Esq. Image measures 13.75" x 18". In a wood frame; 22.75" x 27.25" overall.

  • Condition: 436: The painting has a repaired crack to the panel. There is some inpainting to the mountain tops, to the right of the center cow, to the upper left where the crack was, and possibly some to the woman’s face. The oil shows some fine craquelure, mostly to the top and bottom.
