DANIEL MacMORRIS (New York/Missouri, 1893-1981) oil on canvas, portrait of Gertrude E. Myers (Oregon/Wisconsin, 1884-1974), woman in kimono and jade necklace. Myers was a song writer and the "Topsy Turvy Lady" on KOIN radio in the 1930's in Portland, Oregon and her husband was the owner of KOIN. Signed lower right and dated 1950. Image measures 25" x 20". In a period gilt wood frame; 30.5" x 25.5" overall. MacMorris was a portrait painting, muralist, illustrator, and designer. He was a pupil of George Sass, Alphonso Mucha, and Leon Gaspard.
