DAVIS AND KIDDER'S MAGNETO-ELECTRIC DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE dated 1854. The hardwood fitted case with hand crank to activate the magneto to instigate the electro-shock therapy. Patient slips fingers into the metal tubes while someone cranks. The case 10 in. wide, 4 5/8 in. tall.
