Brangwyn began working in the William Morris Studio at age 15 and was influenced by the Renaissance movement, Arts & Craft movement, and by Post-Impressionists. In 1912 Brangwyn was commissioned to paint 14 large murals and 2 smaller murals for Christ's Hospital Chapel. This is a study for one of the large murals.
