FRENCH PORCELAIN AND GILT BRONZE LIDDED BOWL, attributed to Edme Samson, Paris, 19th c., with hand painted Kakiemon-style overglaze motif, raised on circular bronze base, bronze rim at opening and stylized pinecone form handle on lid. Red spurious Chantilly mark on base. Height 12 inches.

    Condition:
  • 303: The porcelain and metal bowl is in good condition with some signs of age and wear including a small chips on the lid exterior, light surface scratches and some loss to enamel throughout, visible glue repair to attach the porcelain bowl to the gilt metal base. No visible cracks.
