MARTINA GANGLE CURL OIL ON CANVAS (Oregon/Washington, 1906-1994) Migrant camp scene. Two girls doing their hair with tent and clothesline in the middle ground and fields in the background. Image measures 17.5" x 19.25", unsigned. In a wood frame. Martina was a WPA artist was devoted to the cause of labor and social justice. She attended the Museum Art School (Pacific Northwest College of Art) and studied under Harry Wentz and worked with Arthur and Albert Runquist. Complements Lot 180 in this auction.
