Description:

PAIR OIL PAINTINGS on mahogany wood panels attributed to Victor de Grailly (French, 1804-1889). A pastoral landscape with cattle and herder; and a mountain landscape with mounted rider, dog and figures. Each 5 1/4 in. by 7 1/2 in. Both signed l.r., one legible, the other indistinctly. In period gilt wood, gold leaf and gesso wide frames. Provenance: from the estates of Daniel O'Brien and his partner, George Savoret of Paris, France. Removed to the heirs in Eugene, Oregon.

  • Condition: Paintings have several small spots, possibly from insects. Both have a few 1/4" touch-ups to paint. Frames have chips and cracks.
