19TH CENTURY ROYAL PRUSSIAN SILVER SALT AND PEPPER CELLARS WITH SPOONS, a gift from Princess Hohenzollern. Five silver salt and pepper cellars with Imperial Monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm having a "W" surmounted by a crown, Johann Wagner & Sohn makers mark with standing bear Berlin city mark with a "K" assayer mark and a "C" assayer mark, 1"H x 3.75"L x 1.75"W, 214.18 grams. The five spoons feature a shell-shaped bowl and an Imperial Monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm, "RW" surmounted by a crown, the spoons do not have a makers mark, 3.25" long. Provenance: Lot includes a handwritten letter from Cecilie, Crown Princess of German (1886-1954), dated April 3, 1948 to a Mrs. Heidland and also a signed letter by Lt Col E. Herendeen certifying he was present when the Princess Hohenzollern presented the salt and pepper containers with spoons to Heidland.
