SAMUEL L. CLEMENS (MARK TWAIN) ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT, titled "The Man With A Message for the Director-General," nine hand-written pages with edits and crossed out words. This is the first story from "Two Little Tales," first published by Century Magazine, November 1901. Also published in "The writings of Mark Twain", volume 23, page 186 (Lot 680 in this auction). The pages are inserted into a hardcover book, full dark blue/green morocco, 8.5" x 6", with additional blank pages to add width.
