SEVRES STYLE BRONZE-MOUNTED PORCELAIN URN ON MAHOGANY FLOOR PEDESTAL, French, hand painted landscape on one side, figures in garden opposite side, Sevres painted mark underfoot and interior cover of 1758 and further painted in red French script that translates - 'offered by the Prince of Rohan to the Princess of Lamballe.' Signed "Poitevin." Urn height 42.75 inches; floor pedestal 28.25 inches. The 19th century reproduction porcelain urn is in good condition with some light signs of age including crazing, some wear to gilt, and tarnishing of bronze, no visible chips, cracks or repairs. The porcelain urn is bolt-mounted on a wood table having apparent surface scuffs and scratches; the bottom tier of the table lacks the hardware (exposing center hole).
